Gas heater or heat pump?
Gas heaters heat quickly and work in any weather - ideal for spas and occasional heating. Heat pumps cost much less to run and are great for maintaining temperature through the season, but work best when air temperatures are above about 50F.
Common heater problems
Most heater calls come down to low flow, a dirty filter, a failed pressure switch, igniter or flame sensor, or a control board issue. Unbalanced water is also a major cause of heat exchanger damage.
Heater protection
A heater should never fire without water flowing through it. We wire and program heaters so they only run when the pump is circulating.

Pool Heaters & Heat Pumps FAQ
How long does a pool heater last?
Gas heaters typically last 6 to 12 years and heat pumps 10 to 15 years with good maintenance. Balanced water chemistry makes a big difference.
Why does my heater turn on and off?
Short cycling is often caused by low water flow, a dirty filter, a faulty pressure switch or a thermostat setting. A technician can diagnose it on site.
Can I control my heater from my phone?
Yes, when it is connected to an automation system with app control.
