Why variable speed
A variable-speed pump runs at low speed for most of the day, moving the same water with far less power than a single-speed pump at full speed. Many homeowners see a significant drop in pool electricity costs.
Choosing the right filter
Cartridge filters save water and are easy to maintain, sand filters are simple and durable, and DE filters deliver the finest filtration. We help you choose based on your pool and how much maintenance you want.
Signs your pump needs attention
Screeching bearings, humming without starting, air in the pump basket, leaks between the motor and pump, and rising electric bills are all signs it is time for service.

Pool Pumps, Filters & Motors FAQ
How long should my pool pump run each day?
Most residential pools should turn over the full water volume at least once a day. With a variable-speed pump that usually means longer run times at low speed. We set schedules based on your pool size and usage.
Should I replace the motor or the whole pump?
If the pump is newer, replacing the motor or seal is usually fine. On older single-speed pumps, replacing the whole pump with a variable-speed model is typically the better value.
How often should a filter be replaced?
Filter cartridges typically last 2 to 4 seasons, sand every 5 to 7 years, and DE grids several years with proper cleaning.
